Jodie and Dave's Costa Rican Honeymoon

Sunday, October 22, 2006

Hey Everyone!
I hope you guys are doing okay. We arrived in Manuel Antonio yesterday around noon. It's awesome here! The weather is so much warmer than it was in Alajuela. When we got here we walked down to the beach..a trek that took us about 20 minutes. We saw all kinds of wildlife like bats, lizards, iguanas, birds, and on our way back up we saw two capuchin monkeys! The staff had a bottle of moscato spumante waiting for us with rose petals shaped like a heart on the bed. The room is very nice and the view is worth every penny!
This morning we ate breakfast on our balcony overlooking the pacific ocean. As soon as we were done eating we had some visitors show up. There were about 10-15 capuchin monkeys swinging from the trees in front of us. It was soo amazing! I guess they could smell the food. They are really cute and you will get to see pics soon. We thought we were going to have internet access in our room, but we dont. Hopefully tomorrow we can post a few. After eating breakfast we went on a sailing trip. It turned out to be a beautiful day...the first day of sun! Dave went snorkeling for the first time. The water was pretty murky, but the guides gave us some crackers to feed the fish. It was like a feeding frenzy. That experience was nice, but we both got a little sick when the catamaran floated in one spot while we "ate" lunch. We didn't get sick, but this nice Canadian lady gave us some dramamine.
Well we are off to a romantic candlelight dinner overlooking the ocean. Tomorrow we are on our own with mountain bikes and then an afternoon couples massage on our balcony!
